Cotton Dress

The complete dress made in sturdy cotton for everyday wear. The fabric was dyed a pale yellow all over before the first waxing. The second colourwas orange followed by a dark blue.

The fourth and final dye was navy blue which was allowed to crackle through the final waxing which covered almost all of the fabric except the ends of the sleeves. Inset is the sleeve showing the succesful integration of the shape of the dress and the colourful batik design.
